Portishead Town Football Club Walking Football is dedicated to fostering community spirit through inclusive, fun, and engaging walking football games that welcome players of all abilities and promote healthy, active lifestyles.
There are 3 reasons we exist.
- Comradery and recreation through practice games for players each week
- Community – through our support for local charities and Parkinson’s charities who play on Fridays
- Competitions – we have Over 50, Over 65 and Over 70 age group teams playing in regional leagues.
We play on Sunday morning, Wednesday Evenings and Friday mornings are coming soon.
The recreation games are informal and primarily dedicated to having fun and learning the laws, but still have an element of friendly competition to them and lots of banter.
The league teams are at another level in terms of competitiveness, they enter tournaments to win and do their best for the club and the town, so the demands are higher but for those of a competitive nature it creates great comradery and team spirit.
