We have been working hard to formalise the structure and establish effective working practices to support our progress going forward.

We have developed a constitution to define how the club will be run going forward, you can find a copy here: Portishead Town WF Constitution

There are a number of important roles that will help develop and improve our club going forward, covering our on and off the pitch activities.

These roles are defined in this document: Portishead Town WF Committee Roles

In the absence of suitable candidates, the following individuals volunteered their time to help run the PTFC Walking Football section.

Colin Barnes – Club Secretary

Colin Barnes is our very well organised Club Secretary, newsletter writer and key member of our Over 60, 65 and Over 70s team.

Rod Sowden – Club Chair & Over 65’s Captain

Rod Sowden, manages the Over 60s group of teams, which includes the 65s and 70s. Spends a lot of time injured and tends to worry a lot, take things too seriously and encourages after match visits to bars, he also gets bored easily.

Paul Tucker – Head of Football & Over 50s Captain

This is Paul Tucker, is our Head of Football appointed by Portishead Town FC to make sure we behave ourselves. Paul also manages the Over 50s team, does the coaching and loves telling us all where to go and what to do on the pitch.

John McSweeney – Committee Member & Over 60s captain.

John is our latest committee member, joined the committee in April 2025 and has also taken over the Over 60s (under 65s) squad going forward for this season.
